Congratulations to the League Champions for the A Flight & B Flight for the 2016 Season.

1st-place-a-b

Team A7 – Brian DeRita & Dominic take the top spot who basically went wire to wire in the season. They had to wait 3 weeks to get their total points that put them in first place from the start and they never let up. At one point, after 6 weeks, they were in a tie for first place with Gary Kwapik and Dino DeTomaso, but surged ahead and then never looked back. The closest anyone got after that was 10 points. They finished solid taking the league by 29 points. Dominic got his game together down the stretch as he pretty much averaged ‘par’ golf in his last four rounds. Partner and Dad Brian also played solid as well with a couple of rounds under the forties mark. Congratulations guys.  Honorable mention to 2nd place finishers, Team A3 (Andre Viger & Ken Huyghe), who made a late charge but could not catch up and finish 2nd for the 2nd year in a row.

1st-place-a-b

Team B5 – Ken Kelchner & Denny Obenauer battled Team B3 (Matt Zuber & Tim Weigel) most of the season as they jockeyed back and forth in first place several weeks in a row. Ken & Denny took over first place in week 4 and stayed on top until they got ousted in week 7, by Team 8, Tom Marshall and Kurt Lorenger. Their stay in 2nd only lasted for a week as they regained 1st place in week 8. They remained in first by a point ahead of now 2nd place team, B3, Matt Zuber and Tim Weigel for the next 3 weeks. Matt & Tim continued to play well and overtook Ken & Denny in week 12. Their reign at the top only lasted until position round 3 in week 14, where Denny & Ken regained first and never looked back. They take the top spot in 2016 with a 21 point cushion, taking first for the 2nd time in 3 years. Good job guys and congrats. Honorable mention to Team B3 (Matt Zuber & Tim Weigel) who finish 2nd for the second year in a row.
