Well the conditions were not ideal for golf, but we got week 1 in the books. The course was indeed ‘Wet’ as Mother Nature has made sure that the April Showers continued into May (I am sure for the Flowers). Most of the teams finished the last few holes in the rain and some didn’t and took refuge in the warm and dry comfort of the clubhouse. Week one was our annual scramble to get everyone loosened up before match play begins next week. Here are the teams and how they finished:
Brian DeRita, Brent Cymbalski, Denny Obenauer & Denny Kula finished at 4 under par (31) to win the scramble.
Scott Brogdon, Billy Alessandrini, Rick Berschbach & Ernie Danos finished at 2 under par (33).
Andre Viger, Dennis McQuade, Mike Alessi & Dave DePyper finished at even par (35).
Ken Huyghe, Abe Pomeroy, Bill Marsack & Kirk Cejmer finished at even par (35).
Wayne Davidson, Warren Hood, Walter Wnuk & Tom Regal finished at 1 over par (36).
Ray Ressler, Stan Dreslinski, Larry Ball & Norm Giraud finished at 2 over par (37).
Congrats to Brian and team for a stellar 4 under in sloppy conditions.
