Week 18-Final League Update
It all came together in the final week of league play for Team #9, Bill Marsack and Kirk Cejmer as they take [26] points in their match to take the league championship by 3 points over Team #4 who took (25) points. Neither Bill nor Kirk had outstanding rounds, but neither did their opponents in the final week of league play. It was a very good year. Congratulations to Team #4 (Andre Viger & Brent Cymbalski ) who finished in 2nd place. All in all, we faired very well each week, and only had (1) rainout. We were challenged several weeks with a very wet, but a playable course.
We want to thank all the staff at Golden Hawk (pro shop, wait staff and beverage cart ladies) for all the hard work they put in this year. We also really need to thank all the maintenance workers who put in many hours and hours of course maintenance in order to get the course back in very nice playable condition!!
Their are a few honorable mentions in the final week. Andre Viger and Ray Ressler come into the watering hole with [1] over par rounds of (36) on the back nine to take best round honors for the night. Mike Littleton and sub Keith Nickel (subbing for Justin) take 30 out of 36 points on the final night of play and finish in fourth place. Warren Hood posts a (39), nailing two birdies on his card, which happened to be both par three’s. Sub Gary Kwapik (subbing for Brent Cymbalski) shoots a (38). It was a very nice season, and all those in the league made it worth it. The Lord willing, I hope to see everyone back next year to do it all over again. Have a safe winter. God’s blessings on all.
Best Posted Rounds-Week 18 (09/09/2021): Andre Viger and Ray Ressler share top round honors in the final week of league play. Andre’s round consisted of [8] pars and 1 bogey. Ray’s round consisted of (1) Birdie, (6) pars and 2 bogeys. The end result for both was a one over par round of (36). Great rounds to both. Sub Gary Kwapik shoots a (38). Warren Hood shoots a (39). Nice shooting by all.

Birdies for Week 18 – (09/09/2021): The course only gave up a [6] birdies in week 18, three less than week 17. Warren Hood was the only player to have (2) birdies in his round. As you can see, hole #16 coughed up three birdies in the final week of league play. Great shooting by all.

Closest to the Pin Week 18 (09/09/2021): Warren Hood was on fire and nailed birdies on both par three’s. In fact, he takes the closest to the pin prize for the year away from Mike Alessi. Nice job Warren.
