Men’s Christian Golf League – Weekly Updates 06/29/2023. Week #9.
Week 9: Summary for the night: We had our first position round of the season and there were only a few changes. Team A8 (Dan D’Amato & Nate Hood) took 20 points from the first place team A1 (John Grewe & Dan Wicker) in their match and move into first place to finish off the first half of the season. All four players played well, but the handicap strokes seem to make the differences in the matches. Team #A7 (Mike Rajnish & Chad Woolman) remain in third and Team #A5 (Walter Wnuk & Ray Ressler) move back into fourth after getting bump to 5th last week.
Our best round of the night in the ‘A’ Flight was turned in by Chad Woolman, who parred the front nine with a very nice (36). Chad nailed birdies on #2 and #9 to offset two bogeys that showed up on the card on holes #1 & #6. Great round Chad. Andre continues to keep his rounds under 40, posting a 2 over par round of (38). The only two holes that cost him an even par round was hole #3 & hole #8. Another nice performance Andre. Nice shooting by all.
Chad Nelson led the ‘B’ Flight players in with the best round of the night with a (45). Two players a stroke back with (46’s) were Dennis Wnuk & Jim Turner. The leader board in the ‘B’ Flight didn’t see any changes to the top three teams, #B7 (Dennis Wnuk & Chris Offer) remain in first, #B4 (Doug Busam & Marc Blair) remain in second & #B5 (Jim Turner & Jim Vance) remain in third. Team #B6 (Mike Kove & Rand Hewitt) moved up a spot into fourth. We did have three teams not make league night, so the count of players was a little light. Nice shooting all.
There were several decent rounds turned in for week 9 from both squads. Keep up the good shooting all.
