Men’s Christian Golf League – Weekly Update 06/05/2025.
Week 5 (06/05/2025)
The weather sure hasn’t favored the Thursday night league so far this season. We had a significant amount of rain (almost an inch Wednesday night) so the course put us on Cart Path Only. It had seemed to dry up fairly well and the GM of the Course relayed that with care we could use the 90 degree rule in some of the areas that were not affected by an accumulation of moisture. We did manage to find some spots to at least get closer to our shots. The good thing about it is that we didn’t have to push the league out another week by playing.
We now have new leaders in the top spot after the first position round of the season. Al Rossi and Larry Grubb bested their opponents, Andre Viger and Ray Ressler taking 20 of the 36 available points, that pushed them into third place. Mike Marihugh and Fred Darga pushed their way into 2nd place taking 20 points from their opponents (Angel Woodruff and Kevin Fage) who had subs play for them Dan Smith and Mike Reges. We had three decent rounds posted in week 5. Kirk Cejmer, Andre Viger and Ray Ressler all posted rounds of 41.
