Weekly Update 05/05/2025 – Week #3
Week 3 is in the books and we had only one player post a score in the 30’s. Charlie Lehman came into the 19th hole with a very nice round of (38). Three players a couple of strokes behind him with rounds of (40) were Ziggy Zuege, Kevin Grubb & Ray Ressler. Nice rounds guys.
Due to all the rain we had recently, it was cart path only in our third round. We played the back nine and it was definitely a bit on the wet side. In fact, there was a lake between hole #11 and hole #17. I am sure some of the players might have lost a ball in that mother nature made lake. Looking forward to week 4 as we haven’t had and rain of late and should be able to scatter anywhere on the course (except by greens and tee boxes). We have a new leader in week 3. Mark Steiner took 16 points and vaulted up from fourth place to the top spot. Gary Kwapik remains in 2nd, with Wes Howell jumping up three spots to move into third. Paul Goyke moves into 4th from 21st position as he also took 16 points in his match, to round off the top four after week 3. Ziggy took the most points of all players in week 3, taking (17) out of the 20 points available.
Good luck to all in week 4 as we will be playing Skins with Handicaps. Remember, for Skins with handicap, you do not get any strokes for par three holes. A 9 handicap is now a 7 handicap. 8 Handicap is a 7 and so on. If you are a 10 or more, you will be getting one additional stroke on the hardest handicap hole based on your handicap. 11 handicap becomes a 9, getting two strokes on the two hardest handicap holes 12 handicap will get three strokes on the three hardest handicap holes and so on. This is when we play Skins with Handicaps. You will still get your strokes on par threes for the regular match play between you and your opponent if you have a stroke coming on them.
NOTE: Skin Money, Closest to the Pin Money and any scramble moneys won are the only factors used to calculate the money leader weekly and winner for the season.
Skins Week #3 – (05/05): We had three skins posted in week three. This week we played skins without handicaps so all posted were natural birdies. There were no other birdies posted in week 3.
Hole #13: Kevin Grubb. Hole #14: Dave Maddox. Hole #15: Charlie Lehman. Each players received $27.00 Each.
