Men’s Christian Golf League – Weekly Updates 08/22/2024. Week 14.
Week 14: Summary for the night: 08/22/2024
The weather continues to be decent for golf. Just a reminder, with the days shorter, we need to make sure we are playing ready golf. Drop off you partner at his ball and go to yours. This way we can continue to get everyone in before dark. Nate Hood & Jason McKeown led the ‘B’ Flight into the clubhouse with rounds of (44). Nice rounds guys. Andre Viger & Dan Wicker led the ‘A’ Flight in with rounds of (39) very good shooting guys. We are winding down the season with week 15 on tap and then one final week after that. The leader board is close in both flights.
Our outing is scheduled for the 21st of September at Bruce Hills Golf Course. The cost will be $75.00 per player. We will be having Barbecue Chicken and Barbecue Ribs, Baked Potato, Cole Slaw, Dinner Roll, Corn and a Brownie for dessert. Lunch at the turn (Hot Dog, Chip & a drink) and a reverse shotgun start at 9:00AM. After dinner we will have the league presentations and a special drawing for Four Tickets to the Detroit Tigers Baseball Game on the 26th of September against the Rays. So, put your teams together and plan for a great end of the season outing. Please give Ray your team members. I will be collecting the money this week through Week #16. If you are paying by check, please make sure they are made out to Ray Ressler.
We are playing the Back Nine for Week #15. The Closest to the Pin holes will be #12 & #16. The ‘B’ Flight will be trying to get close on #12 and the ‘A’ Flight will go for closest to the pin on #16. Good luck to everyone this week. We have this week and next week for end of the year honors for the Closest to the Pin for the Year. Have a good round but remember to first and foremost, have fun!!
