Men’s Christian Golf League – Weekly Updates 07/11/2024. Week 8.
Week 8: Summary for the night: 07/11/2024
The weather has certainly taken a turn for the worst with several inches of rain the day before our league. We did get to play, but it was cart path only which made it a tad longer. This coming week, 7/18 will again be Cart Path Only as the rains continued to pelt the golf course. Monday the 15th and Tuesday the 16th, the golf course received over 4″ inches of rain, so plan on staying on the cart paths for league play on the 18th.
Our outing is scheduled for the 21st of September at Bruce Hills Golf Course. The cost will be $75.00 per player. We are planning a barbecue dinner, lunch at the turn and a reverse shotgun start at 9:00AM. After dinner we will have the league presentations and a special drawing for Four Tickets to the Detroit Tigers Baseball Game on the 26th of September against the Rays. So, put your teams together and plan for a great end of the season outing.
Dan Wicker takes the top round honors for the ‘A’ flight coming in with a round of (39). Dan D’Amato takes top round honors in the ‘B’ Flight posting a very nice (42).
We are playing the Back Nine this week and the Closest to the Pin’s will be holes #12 & #16. The ‘B’ Flight will be trying to get close on #16 and the ‘A’ Flight will go for closest to the pin on #12. Good luck to everyone this week. Have a good round but remember to first and foremost, have fun.
