Week 1 – 05/07/2026

The conditions were on the cool side for our opening weeks play. We had a four man scramble, playing the best drive and then everyone played their own shot for the rest of the hole. Despite the weather we were able to finish before dark. We now have 16 teams in the league. 

We have added 6 new teams this season. 

Jason McKeown returns for the second year and has added a new partner, Eric Herppich this season.

We also want to welcome the following new teams to the league:

 Trevor Conrad and Josh Bain. Trevor is Dan D’Amato’s son-in-law.

Eric Esterline and Dale Bjordahl. Dale works in the Pro Shop at Golden Hawk.

Paul Hermansen and Kevin Webster are new member in the league.

Duane Gaedcke Sr. and Duane Gaedcke Jr. Duane Sr. is also an employee at Golden Hawk.

Mike Henry and Jim Koss. Mike was in the league several years ago and Jim Koss has been a regular sub for the last several years.

Mark Blair was also a previous member of the league and has returned and has added a new partner, Dan Salmo this year.  Welcome all. Looking for a great season. 

We have also added Nate Hood to the Rules Committee this year. He is a welcome addition to the administration for the league. Continuing as the ruling committee are Andre Viger, who is the Assistant League Director and Bill Marsack who is also a member of the Rules Committee.  Again, if there are any league issues throughout the season, feel free to address them any of the acting members of the committee.

We started the season with an opening day scramble playing the best drive and then everyone playing their own ball and posting the best score for the hole. Here are the teams and how they finished: 

Team #1: Andre Viger, Ray Ressler, Mark Blair.  They finished at (+4). 

Team #2: Kirk Cejmer, Bill Marsack, Jim Koss ( Mike Henry was absent). They finished at (-2) to win the scramble.

Team #3: Al Rossi, Larry Grubb, Duane Gaedcke Sr. and Duane Gaedcke Jr. They finished at (+4).

Team #4: Fred Darga, Mike Marihugh, Paul Hermansen & Kevin Webster.  They finished at (+2).

Team #5: Warren Hood, Eric Esterline, Dale Bjordahl (Jim Turner was absent). They finished at (even par).

Team #6: Dan D’Amato, Nate Hood, Trevor Conrad & Josh Bain.  They finished at (+7).

Team #7: Kevin Fage, Angel Woodruff, Dennis Wnuk & Chris Offer. They finished at (+2).

Team #8: Ernie Danos, Steve Fleck, Trevor Vallus (Eric Herppich was absent). They finished at (+2).  Good effort and try by everyone.
