Weekly Update 06/26/2023 – Week #9
Mother Nature continues to be in charge, go figure, and made sure that we got the round in, but not without the consequences of mini rain showers throughout most of the round. Some of the teams waited out a 15 minute downpour under natures natural protection, the trees throughout the course while other just continued and played through, getting a bit damp but didn’t melt. We did persevere and finished the round so we don’t have any makeups through week 9. Cudo’s to Jordan Murray who led the entire league into the watering hole with a one over par (37). Both par three’s cost him a stroke but he was able to knock off one of the extras with a very nice birdie on #9. Out of six competition rounds, Jordan has shot in the upper thirties 4 times. Honorable mention goes to Zach Plechaty who comes in a stroke behind with a 2 over (38) and keeps pace with Jordan with four rounds in the upper thirties, and Jason Steele three strokes off the pace with a (39) with his second week in a row with the three over par round. Great shooting and rounds guys despite the weather that we went through.
Just a friendly reminder guys, that the money collected in the 50/50 fund goes to help reduce the cost of our outing at the end of the year to “benefit everyone in the league that is playing in the outing” so everyone’s donation helps the cause, and you also have a chance at taking home half the pot collected that week.
